Tonight we met with our social worker (SW) K. She is a very nice lady, and I think we will get along with her just fine over the course of the homestudy (HS).
Tonight she had us discussing our education and upbringing a bit more detail than we had put in our application papers. Next time I think will be more about us and our life together. And then there will be a session on our views of parenting and views of parenting an adopted child. I look forward to the process, as it will be a learning thing for me and also the necessary steps to having a child of our own.
Tonight was anti-climatic for me and that is ok. I didn't really know what to expect, but it was basically just chatting with her about our lives before "us".
Next meeting June 25th.
Till next time...

I'm really happy to hear that the HS has started (and started well). You know I'm backing you up 1000%. Can't wait to hear more.
XOXO
Colleen :)
Well as they say you have to walk before you run... or in the baby world you need to crawl before you walk! This is just the first of several steps, but the point is the journey has begun! As anxious as you are, enjoy the journey as it happens and embrace the learning opportunity as you have identified it as. It can only enhance the awesomeness I know both you and Al have to be the superduperamazing parents to your child-to-be :)
